Corsica
Finally, Corsica is another of the historical stateless nations administered by the French state. Although known principally for its armed separatist movements (most notably the Fronte di Liberazione Naziunale a Corsica, or National Front for the Liberation of Corsica), Corsican nationalist politics has traditionally been fairly active and has made considerable progress in the past.
The most important pro-independence party is Corsica Nazione Indipendente (CNI, Corsica Independent Nation), which currently holds three out of the 51 seats in the Corsican Parliament.
There are also several separatist parties. Parti de la Nation Corse (Party of the Corsican Nation) and A Chjama Naziunale (The National Call), hold two and three seats respectively. These parties are more moderate than CNI in their demands for Corsican sovereignty over the island.
